You will report into senior professionals and work closely with a mixture of experienced staff and others who are also training to become Accountants.
The duties will be extremely varied, so it is important you learn new skills quickly.
As well as the practical training, you will also be given full AAT study support to maximise your skills. Once the AAT course is complete you will have further options to continue studying with the ultimate goal of becoming a Qualified ACCA Accountant. The combination of studying and working full time can be challenging, so it is also essential that this person is well organised, self-motivated and dedicated to a long term career within Accounting.
To begin with you will learn basic Bookkeeping to include calculation of VAT Returns and bank reconciliations. You will soon become an expert with a number of different IT packages and as your knowledge and skills progress - so will the complexity of your work.
Applications for this role are welcome from school leavers (GCSE or A Level) or from individuals who have already commenced studying towards the AAT course.
