Fletcher George is delighted to be representing a highly respected and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in the Guildford area. Renowned for providing outstanding advice and support to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial companies and ambitious organisations, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join its friendly, professional and highly supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA or equivalent Qualified Accountant or an experienced finalist who enjoys the variety of both audit and accounts work. A great place to continue building a career within a modern accountancy practice offering exposure to some interesting work.

The Role

Working with a varied portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, leading and completing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies FRS102 in accordance with UK GAAP.
• Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members and supporting their professional development.
• Ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and in compliance with current accounting and auditing standards.
• Becoming involved in a variety of projects as your experience develops.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will ideally:

• Be ACA or ACCA Qualified or equivalent or approaching qualification.
• Have recent experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Be confident planning and completing audit assignments as well as preparing statutory accounts.
• Enjoy managing your own portfolio of work and meeting client deadlines.
• Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build effective client relationships.
• Enjoy supporting and developing junior colleagues.
