Accounts Manager / Portfolio Manager

Accounts Manager / Portfolio Manager, £45,000 to £50,000 (Full Time and Part Time considered). Hybrid working. 

Due to their continued success, a dynamic accounting practice based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne seeks an ambitious ACA or ACCA Qualified with a proven track record of working within practice for a key role within the business. 

As an Accounts Manager, you will support a growing client portfolio consisting of small and medium-sized companies. Reporting directly to the senior management team, you will lead and develop a highly motivated group of professionals. This role offers lots of autonomy and the opportunity to liaise with and advise clients directly. 

This is a superb career opening for an ACA or ACCA professional seeking a long-term career move within a highly respected practice and the main duties of this varied and challenging role will include

• Preparation and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of SME clients
• Review management accounts and provide insightful commentary to clients
• Lead, support and develop a talented and highly motivated team
• Plan staffing and resources to deliver a high-quality service to clients
• Managing WIP to ensure all projects are conducted promptly and within agreed budgets
• Review VAT Returns
• Provide expert advice to clients
• Develop client relationships and identify future business opportunities 

Applications are welcomed from ACA Qualified and ACCA Qualified Accountants seeking full-time or part-time opportunities (ideally from 28-30 hours per week). You must have previous experience working for an accounts practice, possess strong technical skills and a good understanding of Xero is advantageous.
