Client Portfolio Manager – Harrow, £65,000 – £70,000

Are you a qualified accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding multi-site firm of Chartered Accountants as a Client Portfolio Manager in their Harrow office.

This is a newly created role, introduced as a result of continued growth. You will work closely with the leadership team, manage a diverse portfolio of clients, and play a key role in delivering high-quality outsourced finance services and advisory support.

As a Client Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a Client Portfolio: Taking ownership of a client portfolio valued at approximately £600k, ensuring the delivery of statutory accounts, management reports, tax compliance, and advisory services.
  • Statutory Accounts: Reviewing year-end accounts in accordance with FRS 105 and FRS 102 (1A).
  • Tax and Management Accounts: Overseeing the preparation and review of corporation tax computations, management accounts, and returns.
  • Bookkeeping and VAT: Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by the UK and offshore team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Onboarding and Software Integration: Leading client onboarding processes and supporting the use of cloud accounting software such as Xero, IRIS, and Sage.
  • Advisory Work: Providing clients with advice on tax-efficient remuneration and other planning opportunities, with input from senior management as required.
  • Team Supervision and Leadership: Supervising a team based both in the UK and offshore, reviewing their work, and supporting their ongoing development.
  • Profitability and Project Management: Contributing to profitability by overseeing charge-out rates and managing ad hoc projects as they arise.

We are seeking a qualified professional who can bring:

  • ACA / ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing a portfolio of at least £450k within a practice environment.
  • Strong technical skills in financial reporting, tax, and management accounts.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
