Company Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller
Our client is an owner-managed company based in Leatherhead, Surrey. They currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join them in a sole charge capacity as their Company Accountant / Finance Manager. The business sits within the property sector, has a broad client portfolio and is expanding into other business areas. Current revenue is circa £3 Million.
The management team welcomes applications from full-time candidates or those looking for circa 30 hours per week / 4 days per week. You will work closely with the Directors and enjoy a hybrid working arrangement with flexible working hours.
As the sole charge accountant within the business, this is a vital role for the company. You will be a trusted member of the senior management team, and oversee all aspects of the day-to-day finances.
The main accounting system used is Xero and the core duties will include the following:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Budget preparation and analysis
- Sales invoicing and accounts payable
- Quarterly VAT Returns
- Multiple bank reconciliations
- Other Admin & Compliance work
This role will suit an experienced accountant who enjoys a varied and "hands-on" role, where you can add value through improved systems, procedures and management reporting.
