Trainees will learn and develop skills through a mix of practical work and a tried and tested study program. Initially, Graduates will be asked to complete an AAT course before commencing the ACA or ACCA qualifications.
Reporting into experienced Managers, you will join a highly motivated team which also includes other studiers. The duties are varied, with the main tasks being a mixture of the following:
- All aspects of general bookkeeping
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
- Learning how to prepare final year-end accounts
- Helping the audit team with various assignments
- Dealing with client queries
Ideally you will have a strong academic background and be a recent A Level school leaver or Graduate. You must be committed to studying professional qualifications (commencing with AAT) with the ultimate aim of becoming a Qualified Accountant. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload and being able to learn new skills quickly is also essential.
