The Opportunity
As Head of Financial Services Outsourcing, you will lead and develop the firm’s FS Outsourcing offering, working closely with established Financial Services Tax and Audit teams to deliver a joined-up, advisory-led service to the market.
This role combines strategic leadership, client ownership and business development, alongside responsibility for service quality, people development and departmental performance. You will work directly with senior stakeholders and play a visible role in positioning the firm as a trusted FS outsourcing partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and shape the Financial Services Outsourcing function
- Manage and develop a team ranging from trainees to experienced Managers
- Oversee delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services to FS clients
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients, understanding their commercial and regulatory needs
- Prepare and review FCA / FSA regulatory returns
- Drive business development activity, including client pitches and proposals
- Collaborate closely with FS Tax and FS Audit leadership on cross-service opportunities
- Identify and execute growth opportunities within the FS outsourcing market
- Champion quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across the department
About You – Key Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Senior Manager or Director-level experience in Financial Services Outsourcing
- Background within a Top 50 accountancy firm (Top 20 experience advantageous)
- Strong technical knowledge across FS outsourcing and regulatory reporting
- Proven experience preparing or reviewing FCA / FSA regulatory returns
- A commercial, growth-focused mindset with confidence leading client pitches
- Inspirational leadership style with a genuine commitment to developing people
