Management Accountant / Bookkeeper, Guildford

A modern and inclusive working environment; our client is looking to recruit for a Fixed Term Maternity Contract either full-time or part-time. The Contract is to cover a Maternity Leave and will start soon and it is envisaged to run until Spring 2025.

The salary and role will be devised around your current skill set and if you wish to work in a full-time capacity or reduced hours. The banding is £30,000 - £38,000 (pro rata where relevant) with a pension, 25 days holiday and some Hybrid can be offered. Car Parking available

You will be joining a well respected accounting firm, based in the Guildford area. This is a super firm to work for, with a friendly and supportive team. Previous experience working for an accounting practice is essential.

You will work with a small number of clients who entirely outsource their finance function and other owner-managed businesses.

The main duties include:

Bookkeeping processes, including invoice processing, bank reconciliations.
Produce profit and loss accounts, cash flows, management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.
Calculation and payment of Quarterly VAT Returns.
Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
Regular use of Cloud based packages such as Xero and Sage.
You will deal with different clients across the portfolio.

There will be lots of client interaction so you will enjoy communicating with non-financial personnel.

Ideally, you will be available to interview this or next week and start by May.
