Payroller Part-Time / Full-Time / Flexible Working - Weybridge
An established and friendly firm of accountants is looking to appoint a Payroller to include some Bookkeeping duties to support a growing portfolio of owner-managed businesses. This role offers genuine flexibility and would suit someone looking for part-time hours, reduced hours, or full flexibility around working patterns.
The Role
You will take responsibility for running payrolls while also supporting the wider accounts team with bookkeeping and VAT work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for directors and staff of owner-managed businesses
- Managing RTI submissions, pensions, starters and leavers
- Handling payroll queries from clients in a professional and timely manner
- Bookkeeping using cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting with month-end bookkeeping and reconciliations

About You
- Previous experience in payroll within an accountancy practice or similar environment
- Comfortable handling multiple payrolls accurately and efficiently
- Experience with bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Confident using cloud-based accounting software
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently
