Fletcher George Recruitment is working with a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Surrey to appoint a Private Client Tax Senior Director in their Weybridge office.
Private Client Tax hiring at this level across Surrey remains measured, with relatively few opportunities offering a clear and structured route to Equity Partnership. This position has been created as part of a long-term succession plan, providing genuine visibility at leadership level and the opportunity to shape the direction of a growing Private Client function.
This is a high-impact role, advising a loyal portfolio of HNWIs, entrepreneurial clients, family estates, and trusts, within a firm known for its relationship-led approach and strong presence across the Surrey market.
The Role – Private Client Tax Senior Director
As a Private Client Tax Senior Director, you will take ownership of a high-value portfolio while playing a central role in the leadership and growth of the firm’s Personal Tax offering.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the Private Client Tax function, with responsibility for a complex portfolio of HNWIs, family groups, trusts, and estates
- Delivering a balanced mix of advisory and complex compliance work, including IHT and CGT planning, residence and domicile matters, and strategic income tax advice
- Acting as a trusted adviser to entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses on long-term Personal Tax planning
- Working closely with fellow Partners on strategic decision-making and future direction of the Private Client service line
- Driving business development activity across the Surrey market, strengthening existing relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Mentoring and developing a high-performing Personal Tax team, supporting progression through to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
- CTA, ATT, ACA, or ACCA qualified with considerable UK private client tax experience, ideally including trusts and estate planning.
- Proven success in advisory roles with HNWIs and business owners.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop both people and client relationships.
- Long-term commitment to becoming a Partner.
- Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available for this role).
