Are you an ACA or ACCA-qualified Senior Accountant looking for a varied, client-facing position where you can develop your career?
Fletcher George is recruiting for a well-established, multi-partner firm of Chartered Accountants in the Epsom area. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within its Accounts and Business Services team, managing a varied portfolio and working directly with senior management and the Partners.
The firm acts for an interesting range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, professional partnerships and not-for-profit organisations. The position combines year-end accounts, management reporting and wider business support, giving you the opportunity to build strong client relationships and provide more than a traditional compliance service.
The Senior Accountant Role
- Manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, professional partnerships and not-for-profit organisations
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in accordance with relevant reporting standards
- Produce and review management accounts and provide useful financial information to clients
- Assist clients with cash-flow forecasting, budgeting and other project-based accounting work
- Become a trusted point of contact, responding to queries and developing strong, long-term client relationships
- Identify opportunities to provide additional accounting and business support
- Work closely with the firm’s Tax team on corporation tax computations and related matters
- Review work completed by part-qualified and trainee accountants
- Support the development of junior colleagues through coaching and technical guidance
- Liaise closely with senior management and the Partners
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong accountancy practice experience
- Experienced in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses
- Comfortable managing client work, deadlines and day-to-day relationships
- Able to review the work of junior colleagues and provide constructive support
- Confident working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Interested in developing broader business advisory and client management experience
