The Role – Senior Manager
As Senior Manager, you will combine client responsibility with a strong technical support focus.
- Manage and grow a personal portfolio of complex client accounts
- Oversee corporation tax returns and high-level client work
- Act as a technical escalation point for the wider team
- Support colleagues with complex matters including consolidated accounts, FRS102, UK subsidiaries of overseas entities, complex VAT returns, CT600s, business valuations and auditor liaison
- Review work to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and best practice
- Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to improve quality across the team
- Support clients with business and personal tax planning where appropriate
- Drive efficiency and consistency through best practice and effective use of technology
- Contribute to strategic and technical planning to support growth and profitability
Team & Technical Support Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to team members
- Assist with ad-hoc technical reviews and problem-solving
- Support the development of less experienced staff through mentoring and guidance
- Promote strong technical standards and knowledge-sharing across the team
About You – Senior Manager
- ACA or ACCA or ICAS or equivalent qualified with full right to work in the UK
- Strong technical background within accountancy practice
- Experience supporting clients with complex accounting and tax matters
- Confident reviewing and advising on technical work
- Commercially aware with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Clear communicator who enjoys supporting and developing others
